Volgaburmash traces its history to the Kuybyshev machine building plant established in 1948 in Kuybyshev (now Samara) and has been Volgaburmash JSC since 1994. It is the largest manufacturer in Russia of rock cutting tools, ranks among the TOP-10 world producers of drilling tools, and its bits are exported to and used in over 75 countries.
